The Basketball Federation of India (BFI) will be organizing the 1st ever South India Zone Open Tryouts at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Cochin, Kerala on 17th March, 2012. The selected men and women basketball players will have an opportunity to attend a National Coaching Camp.

The tryouts will begin promptly at 8 AM and will be completed by 1 PM. During the tryout, players will be evaluated by National Men’s Head Coach Mr. Kenny Natt and National Women’s Head Coach Mr. Pete Gaudet. The Coaches will be looking for talented, hard-working and intelligent players who could excel at the international level given the proper training and direction. This is an opportunity for all basketball players to be seen in action directly by the Head Coaches in order to evaluate them and consistently improve their performance level.

Age restrictions for the Men and Women sections are as follows:

• Men – 15 years and above
• Women – between the ages of 16 and 22 years
